Most breeders are trust worthey people so they wont mind you asking about what they do but heres a few tips.

Tips

1) Always buy from a breeder.

2) Always see the mum.

3) Make sure the bitch they show you is the mum and not a younger, fitter dog.  One easy way of doing this is to check the dogs nipples, this depends on the age of the pups but they should be hanging down abit.

4) Ask about the dad's health and how old he is.

5) Ask for contact details of stud dog as you may need them if your dog has any medical problems in the future.

6) When viewing a litter take into a account that the mum may not be in best shape, as its hard being a full time mum.

7) Always pay by cash and make sure you get a receipt.

8) Put your name down on a waiting list as the right dogs worth the wait.

9)  If cage training, always buy one with a metal base not plastic.

10) Introduce your pup to new things at a young age, like horse, bikes, dogs, people, cars, hoovers, cats etc.

11) Don't show your pup off, as you won't have it for long in most areas.

12) Try not to take your dog out in the mid day sun and always take water with you whatever the weather conditions.
